Safeguarding Children Level 1

Whether you work face-to-face with children and young people, or come into contact with them only occasionally, then Safeguarding Children Level 1 is a legal requirement. This course is designed to enable you to comply with statutory guidance and designed to protect and promote the safety and welfare of children.
Safeguarding Children Level 1 will be of interest to anyone who works with children, for example, teachers, nursery education workers, youth workers, volunteers, family centre workers, faith groups and community workers.
At the end of the course you will be familiar with current legislation and guidance surrounding safeguarding children, know the signs and symptoms to look out for, know what to do if you are worried that a child is being harmed, know how to respond to a child who tells you that he or she is being abused, and how to share and record information to safeguard children.

Safer Recruitment

 If your organisation has contact with children and young people, then make sure that the people you recruit are suitable to work with children. Ensure that your organisation has safe practices in place to recruit and induct staff and volunteers, and to help them perform their role safely.
