MHFA England

MHFA opporate courses intended to create awareness and help identify individuals with mental health issues and how to assist accordingly.

They have four main areas of training:

MHFA Course - A skills development programe for anyone over the age of 16 wanting to effectively recognise and support someone in distress.

Youth MHFA - A course for those working and living with young people aged 11 to 18.

MHFA Lite Course - A three hour introductory mental health awareness course.

MHFA for the Armed Foces Community - A course designed to provide the basis for increased mental health resilience amongst veterans and the families of both veterans and serving personnel throughout the UK

Becomming An Instructor

You can also train to become an Instructor with MHFA. During the Instructor training you will learn:

  • Spot the early signs of a mental health problem
  • Feel confident helping someone experiencing a problem
  • Provide help on a first aid basis
  • Help prevent someone from hurting themselves or others
  • Help stop a mental illness from getting worse
  • Help someone recover faster
  • Guide someone towards the right support
  • Reduce the stigma of mental health problems
